How to recover steel?
Com.Steel INOX S.p.A. is engaged in the recovery and valorization of steel, transforming metal waste into secondary raw materials ready to be reintroduced into the production cycle.
The process in stages
The process begins with radiometric inspection at the entrance, which is essential to ensure the safety and compliance of the materials processed. Subsequently, the material undergoes a series of operations, including:
- Manual and mechanical sorting: to separate materials and select those suitable for recovery.
- Selection and screening: to obtain homogeneous fractions and optimize the quality of the final product.
- Briquetting: a process that compresses materials into compact blocks, improving handling and transportation.
The finished product
At the end of the process, the secondary raw materials undergo an outgoing radiometric inspection to further ensure compliance and safety before sale. These materials are mainly destined for steelworks and foundries both in Italy and abroad, where they are used for the production of new steel products.
